Handcrafted log homes are too expensive. . .aren't they? 

I recently did an estimate on a full log, handcrafted Pacific Log Home for a prospective customer.  After he received the estimate he commented, “… we thought that the full log would be too expensive.  After going over your website and the information you sent, we are now giving your company serious consideration.”

Once an earnest log home prospect does all the comparisons, they’ll soon discover that a full log, handcrafted Pacific Log Home costs no more than something that doesn’t match the beauty and hominess of a full log home offered by PLH.

My wife, Kristine and I decided early on in our search for a log home crafter, that we would settle for nothing less than a full log, handcrafted log home.

We made two trips to the headquarters / log yard of Pacific Log Homes Ltd. in Lone Butte, British Columbia, Canada.

The first trip was to check out the company, their 30-acre construction site, and the people who actually do the handcrafting, the office personnel and management.  We returned home very impressed on all counts.  After ten years of searching and studying log builders, we decided PLH was the company we wanted to build our dream home.

Our second trip to Lone Butte was to watch our home being constructed on their site.  I was so impressed with the workmanship of the handcrafters, the integrity of the company and the friendliness of everyone we talked to at PLH, I made an offer to un-retire and represent them.  I’m proud to be an authorized representative of PLH.

One of the things that inspired me to market homes for PLH, other than making a few bucks if I helped sell a few homes, was the help Kristine and I might be to others sharing the experiences and knowledge gained after almost ten years of hunting and searching for the right company to build our dream home.
